Trick or treat! Guess who?
This Virga doll is darling but has red stains
under the costume and on her arms.
A. & H. MFG. CORP. made these masks
and the gorilla suit.
The company was located at
Woodside 77 New York
The suit on my doll closes with a white donut
snap at top in back.
The color of the fur is a bit lighter brown
than my scan shows.
Masks are excellent but the elastics might not
be strong as the stretch from age might
make them too fragile.

The masks were sold with 6 different animal
faces: puppy, gorilla, bunny, duck, bear, cat
and cost 98 cents back then!
The package was sold as "Masquerade Party"
My complete set is excellent
with the 5 masks unpunched
and an excellent bear mask
already punched
and threaded
from an identical set.
I replaced the the original bear
mask with the correct one
in better condition
as the one on the card came crushed
Gold elastic included
but you would need a very
tiny hole puncher.
I left them in the package on the card.
Very rare and very pricey
for the set of 6 plus furry costume.
I purchased another set from the same seller
It is a rare set from the 50's
and was sold with 6 masks depicting people:
pirate, clown
and clown suit,
gypsy, emperor,
Indian, hobo, and
sheik
No mask straps that I can see
Ginny chin straps would work fine
Can you believe these sets are still in tact?
