Welcome to Ginny's play house!

She decorated for Halloween

and chose The Three Bears theme

1956 Molded lash walker Ginny doll wearing

 #6071 complete Vogue formal

and my Goldilocks paper mask

Ginny removed her mask to show you

that as Goldilocks she also

 resembles the girl pictured

on her Modern Toys tin fridge

She had fun making the printables

The three bears are seated around a Strombecker table

The colorful wooden teapot ,bowls, and mugs

with saucers are vintage by Borgfeldt.

The pieces are larger in scale

than the wooden Playtown miniatures.

The tiny cups and saucers are plastic

and made by Allied.

The steak and hotdog on the table are plastic

extras from a 60's set called Dolly Foods

The little etched jelly type drinking glasses

on the blue carousel and red spice tray (above far left)

 are retired miniatures by Re-ment

The tender with a light blue top and decal pic below

is of unknown origin and so adorable

The decal on the back of the seat

is a little bear holding a candlestick

and a tiny bear

The little white porcelain baby dishes

 are marked "Bear Family"

Some of the wooden toy Borgfeldt pieces

had very tiny decals.

Three Borgfeldt plates under the baby tender

show two duck decals and

a baby duckling in the center

On Ebay I found a photo of a Borgfeldt set

similar to mine. (see below)

Questions and Answers

 George Borgfeldt & Company (1881-1962),

also known as Geo. Borgfeldt Corporation and Nifty Trade Mark Toys,

was headquartered in New York City.

From 1928 to 1935, Borgfeldt had a license with Walt Disney

to manufacture children’s toys featuring Mickey and Minnie Mouse.

 [See:http://www.antiquetoycollections.info/products.asp?cat=43]

A second source indicates that Roy Disney

signed the contract for Disney merchandising

with Borgfeldt on February 3, 1930.

 [See: http://www.bonanza.com/listings/1930s-

DISNEY-GEORGE-BORGFELDT-MICKEY-MOUSE-PLATE-2/4089329].

Borgfeldt spent considerable sums fighting those

 infringing upon his licenses.

Initially, Borgfeldt contracted with foreign manufacturers

 to produced his licensed products.

 Eventually, Borgfeldt used American manufacturers

such as J. Chein and Company.

George Borgfeldt & Company became financially insolvent in 1933.

  Its stock was liquidated.

George and Fred Kola reorganized the company

as the Geo. Borgfeldt Corporation.

I found a more recent info link

toy company  below:

Ginny found extra bears and this one

is seated in a vintage Strombecker high chair

with original bunny decal and

more of the Bear family dishes

Ginny loves her vintage 1940's Red Robin wardrobe

The trademark robin is peeking out

near the bottom of the door

The plastic animals form a colorful boarder

The see-saw is marked "Teddybearstory"

in a half circle surrounding a bear face

My best guess is that this vintage swing

was factory made

and possibly by Kohner

The finish and rounded edges at the top remind me

of pieces I have seen by that company.

This was most likely made

for 8 inch Ginny type dolls

If you don't have Halloween masks,

 you can make these below!

One swell guy who called to ask

Spooky Ginny to see a movie!
