Ginger loves to cook in this Superior 50's kitchen by T Cohn!
(I fell in love with the shelves beside the picture window)
Yellow cookware is original to the set.
The red stove levers move side to side .
When moved to the right
the burners appear red as though hot.
Bottom doors under sink have little molded handles
that slide back and forth.
At one time there was a small reservoir that held water.
The reservoir was hidden behind the top window curtain
and was attached by a small screw.
Water flowed down through a hose and up into the faucet!
The sink still has its plug and I added a red soap dish.
I purchased this beautiful set from Donna
as she had it as a child!
Thanks, Donna!
Ginger is hungry but Zip already found the Oreos and licorice!
Gingers chat in the kitchen but Zipis pre-occupied with treats.
Ginger finds some healthy foods.
( They are vintage pieces from a Chadwick Dolly Food set)
Top view. Note that the two bottom cabinets
have handles and doors that open and close.
Tope shelves jut out and can be filled with food.
I left them empty as the set needs very little accessorizing.
Betty sent me this shot of her childhood 1955/56 Superior kitchen set!
I believe this is the later version of the set
shown earlier with my Ginger doll.
Cabinets above replaced shelves, added doors now open outward
rather than sliding, and a floor was added.
I also believe the paint was whiter
than the earlier grayish paint
used for metal pieces in the in the very early 50's .
