Ginny's Virga friend dressed for Halloween with costume
and vintage masks made by A&H Doll Mfg. Corp.
Woodside 77 NY
This doll has dark red dye transfer to her body
so she is just perfect for this costume!
I went crazy for these plastic
masks when I saw them sold separately.
I bought several to display.
They are made very much like Ginger's Mickey Mouse mask
and also remind me of the
vintage Ben Cooper masks
of the 50's.
I was so fortunate to have purchased 2 mask sets
in the packages (so pricey ...but just had to have them!).
I doubt very much that many of these survived
as they are fragile. These masks fit 8 inch dolls
like Ginny, Gigi, Madame Alexander Wendy, Ginger and Muffie
I scanned the sets below.
This vintage package is labeled " Masquerade Party"
The bear mask that came with this set was crushed
so I purchased another excellent one after much searching.
I placed the second mask over the damaged one then scanned
as shown, making the set truly complete.
(I didn't open the package though
to add the second mask )
The pig appears discolored or crushed
but he isn't and just as vibrant as the rest.
The metallic straps are included with this set
and you are supposed to insert them.
The second bear had his strap inserted already.
I believe this set was opened at some point
because the metallic straps are missing
and there are two extra staples on the top cardboard.
Both sets are just fantastic!
(The crinkle lines you see are reflections from the scanner light.)
I believe Ginny hat straps would work in place of the metallic missing ones
and they are sold on Ebay.
Thin elastic knotted on the ends would also work fine.
Since I have a few of these same masks already out of package
(I show them on my earlier Halloween pages),
I don't plan on opening either of these two packages.
That pleasure will be left to the next owner.
Keystone chair
Plastic clown masks are newer and I have no info on them.
The above is a display of vintage Bonnie book covers I made.
This is the original MLW Ginny who decorated this room.
This is is one of two Keystone vanities shown in this scene.
The pocketbook on the hutch is similar to a Louis Vuitton! HA!
A little Nestles Quik goes a long way after decorating!
The hard plastic blue dishes are all vintage and I think they are
made by Ideal with the exception of the vintage teapot far right.
I made the clock.
Hair Dryer with bonnet is a vintage Kiddipliance.
